Family violence
issues
Family violence can be physical, sexual, financial or emotional. Many people don’t realize the long-term effects that abuse can have on them, and their children. It is important to act quickly, but cautiously, if you are experiencing family violence. We also assist clients with Legal Aid funding, as we understand access to legal advice is often out of reach for many vulnerable people.
LGBTQIA+ families
LGBTQIA+ families often face obstacles that are somewhat unique. We are pleased to support queer families to navigate their separation, and find a solution that is tailored to their particular family dynamic. The law regarding parentage, where a party is not the biological parent of a child is complex, and it is important to understand your rights early on.
